
Business Development Coordinator

Diligent Delivery Systems is seeking an experienced Business Development Coordinator to join our sales team. Our ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated self-starter with the desire to meet and exceed targeted opportunity-based goals. This position is in-house at our corporate headquarters in Houston and is full-time. The BDC is an integral position to support our sales efforts and assist our sales team in the field across the country.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to develop phone and email-based revenue generation opportunities through prospect calls/emails and establish an ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Job Responsibilities (The below-listed duties are not all inclusive. This position must perform other duties as assigned.):
· Outbound telephone prospecting to new potential customers (leads lists, email blast responders, web lead responders)
- Make outbound calls to a list of prospects to set quality appointments
- Initiate conversation by promoting and creating interest in our services.
- Ability to handle objections by addressing concerns, overcoming objections and maintaining positive conversations.
- Learn scripted presentation to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to marketing strategies.
· Setting appointments for outside Sales Associates (face-to-face appointments, telephone appointments and web demonstrations)
· Survey customers after appointments with sales associates to obtain information about potential customers.
· Responsible for accurately recording and updating prospects and customer information in CRM system to track leads, trends and facilitate future marketing efforts. Maintain database of contacts to include those indicating no future contact.
· Follow-up quotes to customers.
· Consistent follow-up with previous customers for potential sales.
· Follow-up on completed shipments
· Proficiency with AI programs, i.e. Chat GPT
· Assist with marketing campaigns (mail outs, post cards and email)
Education, Skills and Experience
· Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Will accept at least 3 years of sales experience in lieu of degree.
· 2 years of proven and verifiable outbound lead generation and sales experience required.
· Knowledge of CRM programs (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
· Excellent Customer Service skills with articulate and upbeat telephone presence.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to establish priorities.
· Capable of multi-tasking and be reliable, flexible and proactive.
· Attention to detail and consistent follow-up with excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Strong computer knowledge and skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Team oriented-self-motivated, energetic, charismatic, and ability to think on your feet. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Ability to learn new software with training
· Ability to build rapport, ask questions and listen
· Ability to work full-time regular office hours with flexibility to work some overtime
