Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains System Manager

This position is in-office, M-F and no remote or hybrid work schedule is considered.

Diligent Delivery Systems is hiring a full-time Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Accounting Manager. The individual will be tasked with managing our system, supporting upgrades, identifying process improvements and leading system integration efforts.

There will be heavy data analysis using Excel and Access and assisting the Information Technology Department with administering an in-house developed SQL-based ERP system and other third-party systems, which all interface with the Accounting system (Dynamics Great Plains).

This function includes ensuring that all operational transactions are captured accurately and interfaced timely with accounting systems, while maintaining data integrity. This function provides support to the Accounting Department under the direction of the CIO for primary data flow and special analysis and data management projects. The Manager also interfaces with the Accounting Department and servers as a liaison between Accounting and IT.

Key points and requirements to the position are:

  • Administer Microsoft Dynamics GP system to ensure a secure and stable application.
  • Maintain interfaces between custom ERP applications and GP. Ensure systems correctly integrate and communicate.
  • Support deployment of new ERP applications and ensure GP is prepared on the backend.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage GP capabilities in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Support development, administration and project work that relates to GP.
  • Improve and expand GP’s reporting capabilities using Smartlist, Excel Reports, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and ad-hoc SQL queries.
  • Responsible for implementing, upgrading and customizing GP with systems in place and new deployments.
  • Understand the processes of various corporate and operational departments within the company in order to translate those needs into IT solutions
  • Support the corporate and operations users when issues arise with their systems and work with the users to understand the issues
  • Team environment; good interpersonal skills required, working alongside colleagues as well as independently
  • Fast-paced environment; constant deadlines and sometimes switching tasks midstream
  • Independent, positive thinking and adapting to changing circumstances

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, Accounting or related discipline
  • Familiarity with accounting processes and flow of data on the General Ledger and financial statements
  • Must be well-organized, have a strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Familiarity with Business Analysis skills such as process flow documenting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (and to a lesser extent Microsoft Access)·
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to work full-time regular office hours with extended hours required during crunch time on projects
  • Transportation and/or Freight experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
