Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong office management skills and people management skills with knowledge and understanding of accounting, payroll, HR policies (hiring, terminations, payroll), multi-state insurance compliance and independent contractor compliance and recruitment. This position will oversee a group of Service Representatives in the delivery and logistics industry. The applicant should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Office Manager, preferably in logistics or transportation.

This position is not remote or hybrid and is in the office M-F at our corporate location (9200 Derrington Rd, Houston, TX 77064).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Overseeing general office operation to include administrative duties for COO and EVP and managing IC Resources department.
  • Coordinating appointments and meetings and supporting the entire Operations Department under the COO.
  • Supervising, mentoring, training, and coaching our office staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Producing reports, composing correspondence, and drafting new contracts.
  • Approving Owner/Operator application packets for nationwide delivery (includes background check/drug testing)
  • Facilitating and approving Independent Contractor driver compliance for the company
  • Work with in-house Counsel to resolve field issues as well as gathering and preparing paperwork for potential legal issues
  • Manage company’s insurance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to support department goals and objectives, including monitoring and analysis of department work product and flow to develop more efficient procedures and maximize use of resources.

Required Skills / Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, at least 5 years’ experience as Office Manager, preferably in Logistics, Transportation and/or Supply Chain
  • Strong customer service skills, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities

  • General knowledge and understanding of payroll, HR policies, multi-state insurance compliance
