We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Austin, TX location. This experienced multi-tasker will manage and oversee the processes for receiving, shipping, storing, and execution of activities according to the customers specifications within the warehouse. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong operations skills set and excellent client relationship-building skills.

  • A relentless entrepreneurial spirit with aggressive “hunter” mentality to include excellent prospecting skills and strong sales ability.
  • Experience working directly with customers and vendors.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ management experience in transportation, freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Initiative to identify opportunities and issues and follow through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them
  • Ability to learn quickly and take positive action without being requested to do so.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Customer account management
  • Manage and Supervise operations staff for dedicated services
  • Contract Owner Operators for dedicated routes
  • Oversee Daily check-in from Owner Operators.
  • Continuous route analysis of dedicated routes
  • Manage returns process daily
  • Daily / Weekly customer visits to dedicated customers.
  • Resolution of any customer issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Resolution of Owner Operator issues or concerns.
  • Any tasked need to allow GM to spend 80% of his time on sales activities.
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the GM, RD, COO or CEO.
  • Travel up to 25% to various areas to perform operational duties as assigned.
  • Work in conjunction with GM regarding customer invoicing, vendor payments and COG efficiencies.
  • Manager driver routes and handle all driver issues
  • Work in conjunction with corporate accounting staff regarding customer invoicing, vendor payments and COB efficiency
  • Plan and oversee implementation of policies, procedures, and programs for all areas of operations
  • Maintain weekly reports and submit to corporate office
  • Prospecting, Presentations, Negotiations, and Closing new business

Experience, Skills and Abilities


  • 3-5 years of management experience in transportation, freight forwarding and/or logistics is required.
  • MS Office-Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Microsoft Streets and Trips or equivalent mapping/routing software is required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computerized scanning equipmen
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Self-motivated, energetic, charismatic, and able to think on your feet
  • Ensure quality standards are met at every turn according to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time.
  • High sense of urgency and results focused.
  • Works through others and leads by example.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000 – $70,000 a year
