Service Dispatcher

Lowell, Massachusetts

As a Service Dispatcher you will be preparing deliveries to be dispatched, daily routing for drivers and monitoring route progress during multiple dispatch times throughout the day. Manage jobs through a TMS to include dispatching, POD capture, closing orders and billing. Communicate effectively with customer and internal Diligent team members. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure all customer requirements are meet daily. I.e., delivery time requirements, POD requirements and proper handling of prescription medication.
  • Ensure all Diligent internal requirements are meet and SOP ‘s followed.
  • Prioritize Calls and Responsibilities
  • Scheduling driving routes
  • Monitor/track routes and status of drivers
  • Answer calls while documenting important information.
  • Maintain call logs, records, and data for daily work.
  • Create spreadsheets.
  • Transfer data from hard copy to digital format
  • Search/Investigate information and PODs as required by the customer
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as prescribed by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Geographical knowledge of service area and/or map reading skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills – MS Office, Data Entry & Typing Accuracy
  • General Knowledge off office equipment – scanner, printer, computer
  • Dispatching & Customer Service experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000 – $45,000

Schedule: Monday– Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some overtime may be required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 

  • Dispatching: 2 years (Required)
  • Customer service: 2 years (Required)

Work Location: In person (Reports to: On Site Operations Manager)

Ability to commute/relocate: Lowell, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
